Windows Live Messenger recently launched its beta version to the general public as a free download. The new version of Windows Live Messenger includes some cool new features.

• Sign in from multiple locations - You can now sign in from more than one computer at a time
• Signature sounds - Can add your personal sound so that the contact will hear every time you sign in
• Animated Display Pictures - Now you can add animated gif files to your display pictures
• A new photo sharing utility - A feature which will allow contacts to browse pictures quickly and easily together
  
• 'Be right back' , 'In a call' and 'Out to lunch' statuses have now been removed and the 'Online' status now have been renamed to 'Available
